The region of The Tuxtlas is located at southeast of México, in the heart of Veracruz is framed between mountains, volcanoes, rivers and the sea,
embracing the tropical jungle at north of the American continent and containing a huge diversity of ecosystems with a big variety of landscapes and natural
beauties as well as a great richness of flora and fauna, being of course tobacco, the product which has given recognition and world-wide fame due to this is
the only zone into the region that thanks to its weather and ground is possible cultivate between other varieties the internationally famous "Tabaco Negro
San Andrés"
Historically, the region of The Tuxtlas is a privileged place because is here where grew the Olmec civilization considered as the mother culture in
Mesoamerica and which we can appreciate its greatness watching the colossal Olmec heads exhibited currently in some museums around the world and
that, are an icon of this important civilization which used the tobacco in their rituals.
This region also performed an important role in Hernán Cortés's plans during the Spanish colonization, considering it as a land with special characteristics,
it was here where sugar cane was seed for the first time in America.
